Speak Up: Planning for 61st & North Site

Plan Commission Meeting
Monday, March 12, 7:00PM at City Hall

You have a voice in shaping East Towne’s future. Now is the time to speak up. Tens of thousands of dollars have been spent to develop a strategic plan for North Avenue, but questions and decisions remain.

The Blockbuster store is out on 61st Street and North Avenue, but an O’Reilly Auto Parts store is ready to move in. Does O’Reilly get your thumbs up or your thumbs down? Are you happy and relieved the building will soon be occupied? Or were you hoping something different would anchor Tosa East Towne? (more…)

Basement Flooding Public Meeting

August 25 • 5:30PM to 7:30PM
Wauwatosa Library Firefly Room (7635 West North Avenue)

Residents who have experienced problems with flooding issues for the past few years will be given a chance to ask questions and discuss their concerns during this drop-in meeting. Though the format of this meeting is informal; the impact is very important because elected officials and staff will use information gathered from this meeting as a guide to determine how to best deal with basement flooding problems.

Municipal authorities from the Wauwatosa Public Works and Engineering Department, Wauwatosa Health Department, and Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) are attending. Consultants from Ruekert & Mielke, an engineering firm hired by the city, and a contractor who specializes in high-tech sewer repair and inspections are also attending.
