Get involved in your neighborhood; learn more at TETNA annual meeting

TETNA board meetingI've never met anyone who hated living in our neighborhood. Sure, we grumble sometimes about parking or traffic or maybe our neighbors' peculiar habits. But overall, we live here because we've come to love it. And I suspect for many of us, a big part of why we love it traces to the countless hours of volunteer time that residents give to neighborhood organizations, such as the PTA, Cub Scouts or Girl Scouts or your neighborhood association. With TETNA's annual meeting set for April 18 at Red Dot, I'd invite you to consider attending and, more importantly, taking on a more active role with your neighborhood association.Events like the nighttime Trick or Treat, Spring Egg Hunt and Run Tosa Run only happen because of volunteers like you, and the help you can provide may only require a few hours. It also might turn into something you look forward to each year.We also are looking for residents interested in taking on leadership roles:

  • Board members
  • Board officers (such as treasurer)
  • Newsletter editing
  • Event planning
  • Scholarship review

And we're always looking for new ideas. Maybe you have a few, about how to make our neighborhood even better. Share them with us and learn more at our annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, at Red Dot, 6715 W. North Ave. If you want to learn more in advance, email us at info@tosaeasttowne.org.
