Flower giveaway kicks off Keep Tosa East Towne Beautiful week

TETNA will be coordinating a flower giveaway for 1-3 p.m. April 24 on 74th Street outside Roosevelt Elementary School. Bring a nonperishable food item to donate to the Roosevelt community food pantry and receive plants provided by TETNA, while supplies last.

The giveaway is part of our second annual Keep Tosa East Towne Beautiful effort. Earth Day is April 22, and you can volunteer to spread mulch with Friends of Center Street Park or sign up to participate in Milwaukee RiverKeepers’ clean-up on April 23.

Anytime during the following week, grab some trash bags and help clean up Center Street Park, the 69th Street Plaza, the field at Roosevelt or the sidewalks along North Avenue and Center Street. Or beautify your own block. Help a neighbor rake out their garden and recover our outdoor spaces from winter, or work in your own yard, with flowers provided by TETNA.
