2014 Race Recap

Thank you to everyone who participated, cheered and volunteered on May 17, 2014!After days of forecasts predicting rain, clouds or some combination of the two, the morning of Saturday, May 17, 2014 brought with it plenty of sunshine and just as much anticipation. We had been planning for this day for five months, and finally it had arrived. It was time to Run Tosa Run.Our kids' race drew about two dozen runners, many of whom also enjoyed the kids activities. We had 161 people register for the 5K, including 32 on the morning of the race. Of those, 155 lined up at the starting line. Men's winner Brice Cleland finished with a time of 15:55, while women's winner Kathleen Kohl finished in 21:02.Absolute Race Timing provided an indispensable service, handling most of the race's technical side. Having a chip-timed race helped us appeal to more serious runners, who were able to check their times immediately after the race and later online.2014 Race ResultsThe Tosa East Towne Neighborhood Association presented Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin with our proceeds, a check for $2,200! Thanks again to all our runners, walkers, sponsors and volunteers, as well as the Wauwatosa Police Department and Absolute Race Timing.
