Strong turnout on beautiful day for Run Tosa Run

We couldn't have asked for better weather for Run Tosa Run on May 20, and turnout at least matched if not exceeded our best year, with 254 people registered for the 5K and 74 in the kids’ run. This was the 10th annual Run Tosa Run hosted by Tosa East Towne Neighborhood Association, and we are grateful for all our participants for making this year's event a success.

Watch for an update after TETNA's June board meeting about this year's donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities from the race's net proceeds.

Special thanks to BelAir Cantina and GRAEF, our longtime lead sponsors, and to Mathnasium of Wauwatosa, which sponsored the kids' run. Lutheran Home is another longtime top sponsor, and the race received additional support from Goodmiles Running Company, Cream City Soap Company and Savers Kitchen & Bath and Johnson Cycle & Fitness. Promotional sponsors were Cranky Al's, Rocket Baby Bakery, Tosa Yoga, the Nobleman Barbershop and Delicious Bites. Our shirts were through Jim Phillips with a design by TETNA board member Zack Goehner.

And thanks to all our volunteers for giving their time, especially Jason Broadwell, Katie Pinkowski, Jordy Owen, Dave Ross, Michael Phillips and all our course marshals. Check TETNA’s Facebook page for videos and photo galleries.

This is the third year that TETNA has self-timed the 5K. Official results are posted at runtosarun.org. Congratulations to our overall winners, Jason Tomrell and Jane Trimberger. Full results can be found here.

Finally, we are always looking for ways of making Run Tosa Run even better. If you have any feedback whatsoever about this year's race, please don't hesitate to email us at runtosarun@gmail.com. The race belongs to the neighborhood and its visitors, so you can help TETNA guide it into its next decade. Until then, see you on the run.
