Run, walk, volunteer, cheer at Run Tosa Run 2017

Run Tosa Run 2016 finish liineWe at TETNA look forward to spring each year, not just because the air begins to wREGISTERBUTTONarm and the neighborhood begins to bloom, but also because it's time again to lace up our running shoes and hit the streets on the Saturday after Mother's Day for the annual Run Tosa Run.The race has grown steadily over the past three years, and in 2016 about 300 runners registered and helped us raise enough money to donate $5,500 to Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin.BelAir Cantina and GRAEF have signed on as lead sponsors of Run Tosa Run 2017, set for May 20, and you can register here.GRAEF logoIt's a great way to raise awareness of all our neighborhood and local businesses have to offer while raising money for our charity. What makes Run Tosa Run a success? It helps to have such a beautiful course, but we also couldn't do it each year without our terrific sponsors and many dedicated volunteers. We invite you to join us as a runner, volunteer, sponsor, vendor or simply a resident cheering on the runners as they pass through our neighborhood.Facebook event

5K run/walk at 9 a.m. May 20

rtrlogoThe 5K is chip-timed by West Bend-based Absolute Race Timing, which scrolls results on kiosks and a monitor at the finish line and also emails runners their results after they finish. The course starts at 69th Street and North Avenue and weaves through the neighborhood between 74th Street and 62nd Street. This year's course is still being finalized, and we may pursue course certification by the USATF this year.

Kids' run at 8:30 a.m. May 20

The kids' run is about a half mile, looping one neighborhood block and finishing under the same finish line arch as the 5K. The run is recommended for children ages 10 and younger, and each young runner gets a Run Tosa Run T-shirt and a finisher's medal. We also offer various children's activities near the starting/finishing line.
