TETNA cancels this year’s Neighborhood Rummage Sale
After postponing our annual Neighborhood Rummage Sale indefinitely because of the coronavirus pandemic, the TETNA board voted this week to cancel the event due to continued uncertainty about public health conditions for the rest of the year.
This event typically serves to coordinate neighbors’ rummage sales on the same day and provide promotion for each sale. It remains up to individual residents whether to proceed with rummage sales on their own, though the Wisconsin Department of Health Services recommends that all sales be canceled or postponed.

Also the Wauwatosa Health Department updated its recommendations in June to endorse public gatherings of 50 people or less, as well as business openings at reduced capacity.
Wauwatosa residents are still safer at home and are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines, including washing hands frequently, wearing face coverings when in public, avoiding close contact with people outside your household and monitoring yourself for COVID-19 symptoms.
