Reduce Your Carbon Footprint
Neighbors interested in reducing their carbon footprint are invited to participate and connect with others for the Power Down Week scheduled for June 25-July 3rd.The Transition Movement is a grass-roots effort to build communities that respond to meet the challenges of peak oil, climate change, and economic crisis. The Transition West group is responding to these challenges and is looking for volunteers to help plan, promote, or offer a skill set for organizing successful events like the Power Down Week.Gather a few like-minded neighbors and learn more about the Transition Movement in Milwaukee by attending an Open Parlour meeting. Open Parlour meetings, hosted by Barb Richards, are on Sundays 2-8pm at 3210 N 83rd. The next meetings are scheduled for February 27 and March 13.
