What would you do for our neighborhood?


Project ideas:

  • Host a block party

  • Neighborhood-themed art projects

  • Construct neighborhood suggestion boxes

  • Host a board game tournament

  • Make a movie or documentary

  • Install pet waste stations

  • Organize a community clean-up effort

  • Plant flowers or beautify a space

  • Host an outdoor movie night

  • Build a Little Free Library

  • Fix or paint street-facing structures

 

TETNA is excited to announce a new initiative to empower residents to improve the quality of life in our neighborhood.

The TETNA Micro Grant Program provides financial support directly to residents to take on projects that improve and engage our community. Individual grants from $1 up to $1,000 will be considered.

Qualifications:

  • Applicant must be a resident in the Tosa East Towne neighborhood.

  • Projects should benefit the TETNA community (i.e. not a new rug for your living room).

  • Projects should be completed before December 31st, 2022.

  • Funds cannot be used for restricted costs, such as alcohol, political or religious activities, charitable donations, etc.

How to apply:

  • Please complete the online application.

  • Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.

  • The TETNA board will review all applications and provide a response within 60 days.


Ready to submit your idea?

Selection criteria:

  • Broad impact: The project has clear ties to the neighborhood and will benefit the community, not just a few individuals.

  • Feasibility: The project should have a high likelihood of succeeding and match the applicant’s capabilities and capacity to execute.

What can’t be funded:

  • Political or religious activities

  • Loans or debts

  • Wages

  • Fundraising activities

  • Charitable donations

  • Alcohol, tobacco, fireworks, and other restricted items

Grantee expectations:

  • Projects should be completed before December 31st, 2022.

  • Grantees will complete an evaluation after finishing the project and report back to the TETNA board.
