The 88Nine Radio Milwaukee recently featured the East Tosa area in its online Neighborhood Project series. The series entitled as, “Love where you live,” spent seven weeks focusing on a different Milwaukee neighborhood. The audio pieces covered a couple popular North Avenue businesses and interviews with many East Towne neighbors like Meg Miller and original founding East Towne member, Mary Van Derven. Part of our neighborhood association’s goals is to help neighbors connect their common interests with other neighbors. Gardening is a favorite activity here in the East Towne neighborhood. Many of our residents enjoy tending their beautiful gardens, team up with other neighbors for vegetable gardens at the county grounds, participate in perennial swaps, etc. We want to share your gardening experience with other residents. Contact Julie Terwelp to send your information (like pictures, reflections on your efforts, plans for the spring, etc.). We’ll include future East Towne gardening features on our website.
