Run Tosa Run 2024

Run Tosa Run is a 5K run/walk and untimed half-mile kids' run through the beautiful tree-lined streets of the Tosa East Towne neighborhood, benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin. This year’s race will be self-timed using a professional chip-timing system.

Participants in Run Tosa Run 2023 helped us raise $6,000 to donate to Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin, continuing a longstanding partnership with this worthwhile local organization.

The 2024 race is scheduled for May 20. We hope you will come join us, pending approval of our permit.

REGISTRATION: The registration period for the 2024 race is now open. The cost to sign up for this year’s 5K race is just $25 through March 1, after which the price increases to $30 through April 1 and $35 through May 1. Last-minute registration through race day will be $40, with T-shirts only as available. (Online registration closes the Tuesday before the race.)

PRIZES: Men’s and women’s race winners receive terrific East Tosa prize packages, featuring gift cards from Cranky Al’s, BelAir Cantina and Camp Bar. And all 5K runners will be entered in a drawing for additional prizes, from Cranky Al’s, Rocket Baby Bakery, Tosa Yoga and the Nobleman Barbershop.

KIDS’ RUN: This is an untimed loop of one city block and is geared toward runners ages 10 and younger. Parents are invited to run with their children. Cost is $10 through May 1, and $15 through race day.

PACKET PICKUP: Early bird packet pickup will be from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Friday, May 17, in the pocket park next to Rocket Baby Bakery. You also can pick up your packets on race day starting at 7:30 a.m.

THE COURSE: It starts at 69th Street and North Avenue and weaves through the neighborhood between 74th Street and 62nd Street. View a map of the course below.

VOLUNTEER: We’re also looking for people to volunteer on race day and cheer on our runners. Register on our SignUp page or email info@runtosarun.org. Come celebrate our neighborhood as a runner, volunteer, sponsor, vendor or simply a resident cheering on the runners as they pass through Tosa East Towne.

ABOUT THE CAUSE: Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin will benefit from the proceeds raised by the event. The well-known charity is located on Watertown Plank Road in Wauwatosa, near Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. The Ronald McDonald House mission is to provide a “home away from home” for families while their children are receiving medical treatment at local hospitals at little or no cost. The House is more than just a place to stay – offering families therapeutic programming including art, animal and music therapy, a comprehensive meal program, comfortable community spaces and so much more.

SOME RULES: Strollers are welcome, starting at the back of the pack. Not welcome are animals, roller skates, roller blades, skateboards or bikes. The race will be canceled only by extreme weather, in which case race fees will be used as donations to Ronald McDonald House Charities.
