Block Party & Movie Night

Block Party/Movie Night in the Park

Saturday, August 21
3PM to 10PM
Center Street Park

A new summer tradition begins in Tosa East Towne: The TETNA Block Party and Movie Night in the Park!

Volunteer for the Block Party

Volunteers needed to pick up food and party supplies, contact businesses for donations, provide grills and help cook, set-up, and clean-up, etc. Contact Sarah Hunt-Frank for more information. Help us make this a fun and favorite annual event for all our neighbors!.

The party begins at 3pm at Center Street Park, featuring all the tasty and fun ingredients that go into cooking up a great block party. Center Street Park is located at 64th and Clarke. You can’t miss it. Just listen for the live music and look for the balloons. Volunteers will be firing up the grills to sell hotdogs and brats. All proceeds from concession sales will go toward the association’s scholarship fund.

You’ll find plenty of fun in the sun at the East Towne Block Party. Jump into a friendly game of volleyball or softball. Challenge your neighbor to a game of bocce. Or grab a cold one, park yourself at a picnic table and enjoy the good company of friends and neighbors.

When dusk arrives, spread a blanket out on the grass and get your popcorn and soda from the concession stand. Then settle in for a family friendly movie featured on the screen near the southwest corner of the park.

Along with the movie, games and concessions will continue through the evening. The block party will wrap up at 10 pm.

So join Tosa East Towne Neighborhood Association in this new tradition and keep the summer celebration going. Tell your friends and neighbors, “Party in East Towne! See you there!”
